My Story

Ashley is a mother who was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with over 12 years of experience working with children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout their lifespans. Two years of her experience was dedicated to adults on the autism spectrum. After graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in 2015 she began her career as a Certified Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant at FUNctional Aquatics, where her caseload consisted of children on insurance, life roots early intervention program, and adults on the developmental disability waiver with higher behavioral concerns.  She is a soft-spoken person that holds the right balance of structure and entertainment to keep clients engaged in the development of their skills while having fun. Her main concern is the quality of life and increasing the functional independence of all of her clients in order to achieve their goals and dreams for their life.
